4 Every Girl
March 28, 2013
I’m sure my man-card will be irrevocably revoked for admitting that one of my most gratifying jobs is Social Media Manager for 4 Every Girl, a campaign to promote positive images of women and girls in the media. But I don’t care. My nieces think I’m awesome.
From a copywriter’s perspective, the job challenges me to write in a specific voice for a targeted audience while maintaining a particular brand identity. From a human perspective, the job continually opens my eyes to issues of gender equity, sexism, and violence against women. No job I’ve ever had has been more enlightening, and I’m a better man (and better writer) for it.
